Control Panel Manufacturing

Most automation and control projects require the design and manufacture of control panels to house the components that make up these systems.

With its increased production capacity, Nuvision Instrumentation can now manufacture panels for projects according to drawings and specifications in our CSA-certified workshop. Whether clients need a main control panel, an operator interface or junction boxes, we deliver the highest quality products with required certifications (CSA, UL, cUL), including the supply of components, assembly, dielectric tests and packaging for shipment. This approach allows us to respond more easily to any design changes without impacting project delivery.

Research and Development – Prototypes

Nuvision Instrumentation engineers and technicians can act as a R&D department or take on a fully -inclusive R&D mandate with all the trial-and-error risks involved. Our state-of-the-art facilities allow us to validate concepts using temporary prototypes and installations and bring clients closer to a large-scale manufacturing operation. We are constantly working in an R&D environment, either for our turnkey projects or for modifications to equipment. In a way, this has become like second nature, and we can put this expertise to work to make original ideas come to life.

Preliminary and Detailed Engineering

For some projects, it is advantageous to start with a preliminary engineering phase to fully determine the project scope and feasibility. Specifically, Nuvision Instrumentation can help clients determine what will be included in the project goals, what will be excluded, and whether the project should be launched or not. Thus, for a fraction of the project’s overall cost, we provide a comprehensive document outlining the project parameters that can be used, for instance, to obtain the budget required for implementation and to accurately assess the risk related with carrying out a specific project. The project can therefore be redefined, postponed or cancelled if the findings of the preliminary engineering phase are not acceptable, thus avoiding unnecessary expenses.

Detailed engineering includes the production of all required documents for installation, calibration and start-up of control equipment, as well as staff training. Information System Optimization

Nuvision Instrumentation can help clients identify relevant information across the company’s various departments and then gather and integrate this information in real time to make it possible to identify the causes of operational problems or quality concerns.

For example, we can acquire relevant information that will provide an OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) level at any time or we can gather production information and make it available for manufacturing systems (ERP or MES).

Design of Mechanical Systems
